Morning routine

Mornings are my absolute favourite time of day. We get up between 6 and 6:30, go downstairs, Rupert goes out for the toilet, I make fresh coffee from beans, breakfast (cereal and blueberries), and lemon juice with warm water. Rupert comes in, dinner for him whilst the French press is working its magic on my freshly ground coffee. I just love the smell of coffee in the morning. The aroma of ground coffee is heaven to me.

Carrying on, Rupert goes back outside and does his business and I press and pour my coffee (black, no sugar). Then we go back upstairs to the bedroom, I weight myself in the bathroom and do my business (hehe) and then we go back to bed for this…. This is my favourite part of my morning. We come back to bed where we both spent eight hours asleep and he sits on my lap, sleeping, whilst I eat my breakfast. The abundance of love I get from little man is enough to make sure I never feel alone or lonely.

I am so lucky to have such an affectionate dog. So I am now off to reply to some emails that have been sitting in my inbox.

Have a wonderful day 🙂

This is my story of finding my ikigai. Ikigai (生き甲斐, pronounced [ee-ki-ɡU]) is a Japanese concept meaning "a reason for being". According to the Japanese, everyone has a hidden ikigai. Finding it requires a deep and often lengthy search of self. Such a search is regarded as very important, since it is believed that discovery of one’s ikigai brings satisfaction and meaning to life.
